Our
staff of knowledgeable and experienced yogis have come
together to create a program that meets and exceeds Yoga
Alliance's standards. They share rich backgrounds
in yoga asana, pranayama, meditation, sound and mantra,
philosophy, Ayurveda, anatomy, Sanskrit and more.
The
path of teaching yoga is one that is truly
life-transforming! Whoever you are and whatever
you do, you can become a
vehicle to help others along the path to health,
happiness and freedom.
Curriculum
Pranayama 101: breathing techniques,
proper breathing, aspects of prana, and more
Asana: alignment, practice, therapeutic
applications of over 75 classic yoga poses
Meditation: Stilling the Lake of the Mind,
meditation and concentration techniques and practices
Mantra, Chant and basic Sanskrit Gross and Subtle
Anatomy applied to Yoga Practice: physical
anatomy and physiology, chakras, nadis, bandhas, mudras,
healthy movement patterns, contraindications, benefits

Training
Schedule
Yoga
Teacher Training is a huge time commitment- both within
the classroom and outside of it. Please look
review the dates and requirements to see if you can meet
them before applying. 100% attendance is required
to successfully graduate from the training, in addition
to completing homework, student teaching, required
reading assignments and other side projects. The
program meets every other weekend, 8am-6pm. The Friday
dates are 6-9pm. The 2010

Tuition
includes unlimited yoga classes at Sri throughout the
duration of the training and a comprehensive training
manual. Cost of required reading books are not
included. Payment plans are available and are
determined on a case-by-case basis. Please contact

Program
Requirements
Potential
applicants should have a minimum of one year of yoga
study before applying to the program. Vigorous
yoga asana practice will be a part of each day the
program meets. 100% attendance is required to
successfully graduate from the training, in
addition to completing homework, student teaching,
required reading assignments and other side projects.
Since there is so much material covered in one day, only
emergency situations will be considered for make up.
Every in class hour must be made up with one of the
Program Directors in the event of an emergency.
